Keeping You Updated!

"Therefore do not be anxious, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ For the Gentiles seek after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them all. But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you. “Therefore do not be anxious about tomorrow, for tomorrow will be anxious for itself. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble."       Matthew 6:31-34

PARKING LOT SERVICES TO BE HELD THROUGH SUMMER

Hello TRBC family:

We, the church board, want to thank you for joining with us in praying for your church during these unprecedented times. Please continue to pray for us as we meet and look ahead in planning what TRBC will look like going forward. We have prayed, reviewed documentation/guidelines, and observed what other area churches are doing. At our board meeting on Thursday evening, we concluded the best option for our church at this time is to maintain outdoor services through the rest of the summer.

We know many people have differing opinions and thoughts about Covid-19, and we are trying to be understanding of everyone in the decision-making progress. However, we also know that we cannot please everyone, all the time. Our main desire is to honor God and to have unity among us as we make these decisions.

With that being said, we have received a lot of positive (and very little negative) feedback about our outdoor parking lot services. They have certainly been a blessing to us and through all of this, we have even had visitors which has been pretty encouraging! There are many things the church board is going to go through over the next months in preparation for opening the building. One of our biggest hurdles/challenges is the children’s ministries and what we need to have in place to keep them safe. Many parents have viable concerns. We are also going to have to make some accommodations for cleaning and social distancing in the sanctuary.

Another very positive thing we are seeing, is our two services have been able to come together to worship as one. Starting Sunday, July 12th, we will be changing our service time to 9am. This will allow us to get a little ahead of the heat of the day.

In the event of inclement weather, our worship team and pastors will move inside to livestream the service. The FM transmitter will still be broadcasting the service in the parking lot (the station is 88.1), or you may stay home and worship with us online.

Thank you for your patience and understanding during this trying time. Not one of us prepared for this and we knew that mistakes would be made along the way. We know that this is not the ideal, but we do feel that this is great alternative for the time being. We can be together, maintain distancing and worship. Thank you so much for being faithful with us on this journey.

Please continue to pray for wisdom and for very clear leading from the Lord as we move forward with our plans for the fall season at TRBC.

Serving Together,
Pastor Jeff
